Water is a constant feature in Scotland’s amazing landscapes from the famous Loch Ness, to Lochans, to stunning waterfalls on the Isle of Skye or a wee burn.

In this piece Julia Anne has used blues and greens to create this semi-abstract impression of a burn running between the mountains on the Isle of Kerrera - Inner Hebrides.

Look closely to see how Julia Anne has used rock salt to create the impression of the water crashing onto the rocks following a downpour.

This watercolour has been painted in a freehand semi-abstract style making it truly unique.

Painted with Winsor & Newton professional watercolours on Hahnemuhle 500 gsm cold-pressed cotton paper. Mounted with a cream mount.
