Every shop these days collects your data. It’s impossible to shop online without you providing us with your personal information. However, at Made in the Glen we promise to take top notch care of the data you entrust to us. Here is our policy:

  • Any other information such as telephone number etc will be used for delivery information or to answer queries you may have raised.

  • If you have requested that we notify you of new products, we will do so at the appropriate time.

  • We are a tiny business and we have no need to share your data with any other company and certainly not for marketing. So you won’t buy wrapping paper from us and get a catalogue from another retailer. That’s our promise to you.

  • Nor do we intend to bombard you with promotional emails of our own. We don’t want to fight for space in your inbox. We are right here if you need us.

  • And one more promise…. we won’t send loads of papers through the post. So you won’t be lining your recycling bin with stuff from us.

HOW LONG WILL WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

  • The answer to that really depends on how long you keep buying from us. If we haven’t heard from you in six years, we’ll understand that to mean its time to take you off our system. We can remain friends though, right?

  • You have the right to access any data we hold about you. Just submit an access for information request to us and we will aim to deal with it within 28 days. Please mark your correspondence clearly with ‘access to information request’, and supply your name, address, email address so that we can write straight back.

  • You can also ask us to delete or amend your data at any time. Subject to our own legal requirements we will comply as quickly as possible.
