There are over 2,000 historic castles dotted around Scotland in stunning landscapes.

We love to visit Urquhart Castle which is situated on shores of Loch Ness which, is just down the road from us.

In this piece Julia Anne has used blues and greens to create this semi-abstract impression of Gylen Castle - Isle of Kerrera - Inner Hebrides.

This watercolour has been painted in a freehand semi-abstract style making it truly unique.

Painted with Winsor & Newton professional watercolours on Seawhite of Brighton 350 gsm cold-pressed cotton paper. Mounted with a cream mount.
