Whisky Cask Soap Dish
Whisky Cask Soap Dish
Sustainable wooden soap dishes made from old whisky barrels.
Whisky and Scotland belong together, so to give our beautiful smelling soaps somewhere wonderful to live we have designed and produced these unique wooden soap dishes made from old Whisky Casks. It gives the disused Whisky Cask another reason to live and gives you somewhere to keep your artisan soaps. We’d say they belong together.
You can have a little bit of Scotland sat next to your sink.
Oak is an ideal wood for a soap dish because it so good at handling water. Its natural tannins hurry to the wood’s surface when it comes into contact with water. This clever process means the wood protects itself against water and will therefore last for years.
This will mean that your soap dish will naturally darken over time. But that adds to its beauty, that’s what it does in the barrel and the whisky is all the better for it.
Handmade in Scotland

To take care of your Whisky Cask Soap Dish clean off residue soap with a cloth & rinse every couple of days. Once a week allow to dry out completely and then re-oil with Danish Oil or Walnut Oil (or even a little olive oil) using a lint free cloth.
All our products are handmade from natural materials, therefore, colours and sizes may vary slightly to those described. Every soap dish is individual in thickness due to the size of the original stave.
