Capturing the Stillness of the Loch

On a cold, dreich day, as Julia passed through Dochgarroch on her way home from Inverness, she was compelled to stop and capture the moody stillness of Loch Dochfour.

Later, inspired by that fleeting moment, she translated the scene into this atmospheric watercolour, using Payne’s grey with a hint of indigo to evoke the misty, quiet beauty of the loch.
