Behind the Scenes: The Making of our Artisan Keyring Collection.
Our artisan keyrings begin with the careful selection of a small piece of wood or other material like resin, chosen for its unique beauty and patterns. The material is then mounted on a lathe, where is it expertly shaped using a sharp chisel. Once the desired form is achieved, the piece is refined, sanded and polished to a smooth finish. A protective layer of Odie’s Oil is applied before the metal ring is attached, completing the handcrafted creation.

Palo Santo:
At Made in the Glen we prioritise sustainable sourcing of our materials, avoiding purchasing wood from overseas, many of which woods are now endangered. However, because we embrace the concept of recycling we were happy to acquire a selection of unused woodturning supplies from a talented local craftsman who passed away. In a heartfelt gesture, his widow graciously sold us these supplies to ensure that the exquisite wood does not go to waste. It is from this very supply of recycled wood that our artisan keyring collection is made.
A little bit about Resin:
At Made in the Glen we believe in making the most of every material. Leftover resin from other projects is carefully turned to create unique keyrings, featuring a beautiful wash of colours and subtle glimmers. No two are ever the same, making each one a little piece of artistry to carry with you.
