Julia Anne visits the Outer Hebrides regularly and loves the stunning and unique landscapes of her journey through Northwest Highlands, Isle of Skye and on to the Western Isles.
In this piece Julia Anne has used deep blues to capture the wintry scene of the majestic Munro’s over looking Loch Cluanie.
About Loch Cluanie:
“Loch Cluaine is a Loch in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland at the Southeast end of Glen Shiel. It is a reservoir, contained behind the Cluaine Dam, constructed by Mitchell Construction and completed in 1957 as part of the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric board’s Glenmoriston project to generate hydroelectricity.”
This watercolour has been painted in a freehand semi-abstract style making it truly unique.
Painted with Winsor & Newton professional watercolours on Winsor and Newton 300 gsm cold-pressed cotton paper. Mounted with a cream mount.
