Description
A look at the Distinctive Features of our Sustainable Linen Apron.
Our Scottish Linen Bistro Apron made from linen woven in Scotland was created by Christine and Liz and crafted by our team here in the Highlands. We take great pride in our meticulous approach, even using organic cotton for stitching, a detail that often goes unnoticed by other makers but is crucial to us.
A Quick Guide to Our Eco-friendly Materials
Linen as a Textile
The stems of the flax plant are soaked in water to extract the fibres. The fibres are loosened, separated from the woody stems and other impurities and finally spun into yarn. The yarn is often woven into fabric to become bedding, furniture coverings or clothing. Or it is knitted and made into garments and other items.
Organic Cotton
At our core, we prioritise sustainability and environmental responsibility. That’s why we always opt for organic cotton whenever possible. Not only is organic cotton better for the environment, but it also boasts exceptional quality. Not forgetting the tiny details, we have also stitched our apron with organic cotton sewing thread. It’s all in the detail!
Caring for your Scottish Linen Bistro Apron:
- Wash at 30 on a gentle machine cycle.
- Line dry.
- Iron, only if you must. It’s better for the environment to accept a few wrinkles here and there.
