Selecting Tweed for harris tweed and cotton crossbody tote

Wool and Tweed

We take great pleasure in working with renowned Scottish tweeds such as Harris Tweed, Lovat Tweed and Kingcraig Tweed. These exceptional wools and tweeds showcase the rich heritage of Scottish textiles. Incorporating these esteemed tweeds into our designs allows us to celebrate the essence of Scotland and share its legacy with our customers. In these cushions Liz has paired Scottish Linen with a plain muted teal tweed sourced from Campbells of Beauly.

flax as linen

Scottish Linen

Linen is a naturally renewable resource derived from flax, which requires minimal water and pesticides during cultivation. It’s production leaves a smaller ecological footprint compared to other textiles. Linen is biodegradable, ensuring a more circular and planet-friendly lifestyle. By opting for linen, you can contribute to a greener future. This particular linen was woven at a mill in Fife, Scotland.

Cotton Thread

At every step during our stitching process, we use organic cotton thread. We believe in its superiority for the environment when compared to non-organic alternatives. It is our ethos to pay attention to even the smallest details, ensuring that every aspect of our production remains as ethical as possible, aligning with our dedication to sustainability and responsible practices.
