The Highland Ceramic Oil Burner & Aromatherapy Gift Set
The birth of the Highland Ceramic Oil Burner & Aromatherapy Gift Set: Once we had decided on creating a complete Highland-themed aromatherapy gift set, we knew exactly who to approach to craft the ceramic elements for us – the talented ceramicist Hannah Morrison, who brought our vision to life with her expert craftsmanship.
The Making of the Oil Burner
Each Highland Ceramic Oil Burner is thoughtfully hand-thrown by talented Ceramicist Hannah Morrison in her Conon Bridge studio. With precision and care the burners are turned on her wheel, fired to a high temperature, hand-painted, glazed and fired again – creating a piece that not only looks beautiful but brings the calming essence of aromatherapy to your home.
Hannah also painstakingly makes the little tealight cups for us, to our unique design. Each cup is turned on her potter’s wheel and the handle is then ‘pulled’ and fixed in place.
Aromatherapy without cost to the planet.
When you use one of our ceramic cups with a naked tealight, you can enjoy the beauty of candlelight without the waste associated with traditional tealights. We have designed these naked tealights to fit perfectly into the little cups to reduce metal waste and our carbon footprint.
Highland Forest – Fresh & Woody
Your gift set comes with a choice of Highland Forest essential oil blend or wax melts. This is our signature and most popular fragrance. Inspired by a walk through Scotland’s majestic pine forests, Highland Forest is the perfect blend to bring the outdoors inside. Scot’s Pine offers a crisp, invigorating fragrance, reminiscent of towering trees and fresh woodland air. The earthy, slightly citrusy Juniper Berry adds depth and freshness, while Patchouli brings a grounding, woody undertone to the blend. Together these essential oils capture the essence of Scotland’s mighty pines and the tranquillity of a peaceful forest stroll.
Caring for your ceramic tealight cup and oil burner.
To remove wax from a ceramic cup or bowl, place it in a shallow dish of hot water for a minute or two until the wax begins to melt. Gently push the wax at the edge and it should lift out easily. Alternatively, you can completely melt the wax and clean up any residue with a tissue. Ensure all wax is removed before washing.
For cleaning the rest of the burner, singly wash gently in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly and dry. Always handle ceramics with care and follow the candle burning safety guidelines to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience.
